The brief

iDeas Design was approached by Firstgrade Recycling Systems to help out on the design of a water separator unit for a recycling plant. This unit uses water to separate heavy and light solids using pumped water, where the solids sink to the bottom and are removed using an auger, and the lighter objects float to the surface where they are also removed using an auger. The equipment was designed, and all manufacturing drawings were produced.
